Weltmeisterschaften im Tjosten

Liebe MA-Freunde!

Hier gibt es was zum Schmunzlen. Ich jedenfalls bin vor Lachen fast vom Stuhl gefallen, als ich diese Nachricht gestern in "3 News" sah: Vergangenes Wochenende fand in Upper Hutt in der Naehe (ca. 100 km NW) von Wellington die Weltmeisterschaften im Tjosten statt. Tja, also mittlerweile gibt es Neuigkeiten von der Reenacterfront in Neuseeland. Ich habe die Guilde von Welligton angeschrieben und auch eine Antwort erhalten.

Hier mal Auszuege aus der Antwort:

"There are a reasonable number of re-enactment groups throughout New

Zealand. They can be broadly divided into two groups based on combat

styles: ‘real steel’ groups (umbrella organisation is NAAMA - National

Association of Ancient and Medieval Arts) and SCA groups (Society for

Creative Anachronism). The jousting mainly involved NAAMA associated

groups. There is a large (for NZ) SCA camping event coming up in

February near you. Here are some websites you might find useful:

sg.sca.org.nz is the site for the Barony of Southron Gaard (Society for

Creative Anachronism)

upcoming camping event ( 11-16 February) run by the Barony of Southron

Gaard. This event would be a great chance for you to talk to

re-enactors. Most of the people will be from the SCA but there will be

a few from other groups.

Nun, ich bin am Ueberlegen, ob ich nicht nach Waipara fahren soll. Ich weiss nur noch nicht, wie ich das erreichen kann. Ich habe hier kein Auto. Aber ich haette schon mal wieder Lust, ein bisschen MA-Luft zu schnuppern.
